Our Ethos
We are so much more than just an award-winning Pub and Restaurant business. Our values and culture contribute to strong career development, strong support for local community and a network of local suppliers. We serve local beers and our food, supplied from our local network of suppliers, is freshly prepared by our wonderful chefs. Our own Community fund raises considerable sums every year to support charities in the Cambridgeshire area. We have a sharp focus on sustainability with many in-house initiatives including an embryonic scheme to support our parish councils reshape their green areas. We love being part of the rich heritage of the Cambridgeshire area and ultimately we hope we are contributing to it’s diversity, community and social scene.
Community
In September 2018 we launched the Cambscuisine Community Fund (CCF). Across all of our restaurants we've been raising money to support vulnerable people in Cambridgeshire. For every bill over £30, in all of our restaurants, we've been adding a discretionary £1 added to it to support the Fund. We have raised over £185,000 for local charities some of whom we work with outside of this fund.
Sustainability
Pub & Restaurants have so many moving parts. Many of these moving parts require plenty of energy. We are always looking to be as mindful of our carbon foot print and we do our level best to ensure that we are being efficient, diligent and that we use suppliers that share our values...this is 'non-nonsense' and real.
As a Cambridgeshire centric business we can do a huge amount to reduce our footprint compared to many in our sector. Our eight sites are close, we use local suppliers and we are fully integrated into the local economy and community.
