Cambscuisine is an award winning business with 6 unique Pub and Restaurants. We are founder and owner led and have grown steadily over the 20 year period since the purchase of The Cock at Hemingford in 2001. We have four classic country pubs, and two restaurants in the centre of Cambridge, The Cambridge Chop House and Millworks. The Cock has won National Dining Pub of the Year on two occasions.
However, we are so much more than just an award winning Pub and Restaurant business. Our values and culture contribute to strong career development, strong support for local community and a network of local suppliers. We were Cambridgeshire Employer of the year in 2016. We serve local beers and food is freshly prepared by our wonderful chefs (Link). Our supply of food is, where possible, from our local network of suppliers. Our own Community fund raises considerable sums every year to support charities in the Cambridgeshire area. We have a sharp focus on sustainability with many in-house initiatives including an embryonic scheme to support our parish councils reshape their green areas.
Cambscuisine is determined to delight our guests, to have a ‘Can’t do enough to please’ attitude and to deliver on every visit. Our vision is ‘to build an outstanding, progressive company with the infrastructure to deliver continuous local business growth through its people’. Oliver Thain, one of the two original founders, remains at the heart of the operation, and grew up locally and lives locally.
